RSS Feed Reader
As of right now, I am using Readwise Reader as my RSS tool. I am not convinced that this tool is perfect, but there is more to like than dislike. These options are as of 2024-06-13.
Advantages
- I like that Readwise has some nice integration allowing me to bring highlights into Obsidian from other platforms.\
- I also like that Reader allows me to listen to stories. This is very convenient if I want to “read” something but also need my hands free. I do the dishes and listen to RSS regularly.
- I also like that I can create a filtered view which can filter out certain words on a feed by feed basis. This feature could be a lot better, but at least it’s possible!
Disadvantages
- The appearance of Reader is not very light weight, can feel cumbersome on long reading sessions.
- I also don’t like that there does not seem to be a good way to export archived/saved articles easily.
